Ingredients
8 oz. day old french bread (cut into 1 in. slices)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. skim milk
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
6 Tbs. brown sugar
3 Tbs. reg. sugar
1/4 c. butter (room temp.)
1 c. blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
1) Grease 9x13 pan or glass dish, place bread slices in. Set aside.
2) Beat together eggs, white sugar, vanilla...stir in milk.
3) Pour mixture over bread slices, turning the slices over to make sure all is covered well. Cover and place in refrigerator over night.
4) In the morning, preheat oven to 375 degrees.
5) In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon. Cut in butter to resemble course crumbs. Set aside. Remove pan from fridge, turn slices over once. Scatter blueberries over top, then sprinkle whole pan with crumb mixture.
6) Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
7) Cut into squares and serve with strawberry slices or warm applesauce. Serves 8.
